SPORT
Born in Italy in 1983, I have been running since the age of 10. After the first, polyvalent, years, I trained for the 400 m hurdles event (10th in the Italian Youth Champs 1999). From 2004 to 2009 my sports activity slowed down a bit and I took part, just for fun, in some triathlon and duathlon competitions. Since 2010 I started again with Track & Field, focusing on the 3000 m Steeplechase event. I run every distance between 1500 and 10000 m in track, road and cross country events. Currently, I live and train in Berlin (Germany). My team is the LG Nord Berlin, home of many champions.
EDUCATION
I studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Padua (Italy) and took my Master’s Degree in 2009. From 2006 to 2013 I worked as a freelance Motorsport Race Engineer, with a specialisation in Race Car’s Vehicle Dynamics and Suspension System design. Since December 2012 I am a PhD student in the department of Training and Movement Sciences at the Humboldt-University of Berlin. My main research topics are foot strike patterns during running, motor control and running economy.
